6 Essential Tips for Beginners

Learn the rules! The better you understand the rules, the better you will understand the game.

Dribbling! Short touches with the inside and outside of your feet, moving the ball up and down the field while keeping control.

Passing using the inside and outside of the foot.

Trapping or stopping the ball. Make sure to practice using the inside of your foot toe up.

Shooting! For beginners, make sure to start off by using the inside of your foot working towards using your laces.

Encourage players if they make a mistake and praise players when they do something right. This gives them the excitement of wanting to push forward.
Bermudez Fútbol Academy Instructor Spotlight
Playing at the highest of levels as a professional and Captain of the Cuban Olympic National Team taught me the different rhythms within the game of soccer. I am passionate about helping players identify and learn this rhythm in a unique way combining music, intensity, repetition, and an environment of positive competition. In this way, players experience immediate growth and do so in a new and fun way that fosters a long-term love of the game.
